I haven’t done much talking about the process behind the Darkling Psalter, or the thinking that sits underneath it, so I thought this conversation with Leah Boden from the Mind Gallery was worth sharing.

how the project started (and why it changed halfway through)
what I’m doing when I’m working from the Hebrew and following images through Scripture
how the “renditions” took shape—and why I moved away from commentary
the strange, intuitive side of the process (where lines come from, and how much of it feels discovered rather than constructed)
